Application lab Coordinator (m/f/d)
immediately & fulltime

As the Application Lab Coordinator (m/f/d), you will take responsibility for coordinating, guiding and developing our international network of Application Labs. In this role, you will define and execute a unified direction while ensuring consistent operational excellence across all global sites. Your work will combine deep technical understanding with strong leadership capabilities and a high degree of customer engagement.

What you will drive:

• Oversee day-to-day operations and improvements across our application labs and developing a general cohesive strategy.
• Coordinate workflows, KPIs, and best practices between sites.
• Conduct feasibility tests, proofs-of-concept, and validation projects.
• Act as a technical contact for customers—support demos and troubleshoot applications.
• Prepare and deliver training materials; maintain technical documentation.
• Represent ficonTEC occasionally at trade shows or customer meetings.

• Degree in physics, engineering, or related technical field.
• 3–5 years’ experience in application engineering or photonics.
• Solid knowledge of optics, photonics, or micro-assembly; automation experience is a plus.
• Comfortable working internationally and engaging with customers.
• Hands-on experience with process improvements and POC projects.
• Strong communication skills and ability to guide and motivate teams.
• Organized, adaptable, and resilient under pressure.
• World wide travel obligations >25%
• Fluent English; German is a plus.
