Aufgaben

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on all Instrumentation and control systems on site.
  • Solve complex control problems and do extensive fault-finding on all control installations.
  • Do loop optimisation on control loops.
  • Do calibrations and verification of all control instrumentation according to pre-set standards and guidelines.
  • Compiling instrumentation control components for installations, as well as the instrumentation specifications needed.
  • Analyse and interpret drawings and updating when needed.
  • Assist with modifications, planning and design, constructing and installation.
  • Assist with panel building, wiring, piping and cabling of equipment.
  • Assist with panel and cable marking.
  • Installation of all aspects of modifications applicable to instrumentation.
  • Upkeep of ISO calibration system including calibrations, certification, documentation, record keeping and upkeep of the documentation library as required.
  • Partake in daily MBU activities, upkeep of workshop and assisting with the daily run of the workshop.
  • Job will include all aspects of instrumentation including flow, pressure, temperature, level and analytical.
  • Programming of software to integrate all electrical and pneumatic equipment to operate the facility within the required safety and process conditions.
  • Adheres and implements Rheinmetall Denel Munitions Policies and Procedures and ensures compliance to ISO Standards with respect to SHE/Quality/Environmental/Energy

Profil

  • National diploma Electrical Engineering or NQF Level 6 equivalent qualification.
  • Instrumentation Mechanician or Mechatronics Technician, with red seal in Instrumentation trade.
  • Valid code 8 driver’s license is essential.
  • At least 3 years’ experience in a plant manufacturing environment.
  • Experience in explosives industry would be advantageous.
  • Programming knowledge (PLCs, SCADA, HMIs).
  • Flexible and exceptional interpersonal skills.
  • Computer literacy (MS word, Excel, Power Point).
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Willingness to work overtime and to be on standby.
  • Ability to work well in a team and alone with minimum supervision.
